I independently produce – from A to Z – videos meant for web and social media. This type of video production is exciting because the fruits of your labour – when properly distributed – are immediate. A few of my successful productions have exceeded 10,000 views or more when developed as a part of an online strategy.

A college television network built from the ground up.
In April 2014, I was hired to design and implement VTV (Vanier Television). VTV is a web based college television network that was created to improve internal and external communications as well as market the college as a cutting edge institution. Check out VTV by visiting the webpage here.
My involvement with VTV included absolutely everything from creating the logo, the posters, the policy, and realizing the website with the help of the Vanier College’s web team. Shooting and editing weekly content, managing a team of student volunteers and keeping the social media channels loaded with content were some of the daily tasks involved with running this successful initiative. VTV is the first of it’s kind in the Quebec Cegep system and a wonderful asset to both publicize college news as well as give students hands on opportunities in media.
Lip sync battles for a cause.
On May 22nd 2015, I ran my very first charity fundraiser which was very fun and a great success. With just about two months to promote, the event had over 120 attendees, 15 participants and raised over $1200.
I planned the first event from A to Z:
- Booking the venue, talent, MC, DJ
- Finding sponsors
- Creating the posters, flyers, promo video
- Marketing the event on line and via Social Media
- Creating the order of proceedings and facilitating the show
- Coordinating food sales
Due to the success of the event, we launched LIP SYNC MTL. LIP SYNC MTL aims host Lip Sync Battle fundraisers a few times per year to help local charities in Montreal. The planning is more collaborative with the charities involvement. The second instalment took place on January 16th 2016 to support a Montreal based NGO called The Mercy Project.
One summer day in 2013, I decide to share a simple salad recipe with the world on wordpress.com. About two years later, I have a food blog loaded with content ( recipes, features, articles etc.). At first I just wanted to share something I love and have fun. That continues to me my goal today while striving to improve little by little the quality of the photos, writing and recipes. It’s a great blog and I urge you to check it out and follow!

The Diversity Project is a video series created through Vanier Television in which we paired community members and ask them to share a story about diversity. There were fourteen participants and seven exchanges and very little limitations on what they could talk about. Some of the participants were friends, colleagues, classmates and others were strangers. None of them shared the same background. The stories they shared will slowly be released between now and the end of the year. The goal is to learn through storytelling and create a community of trust and understanding.
